This was just in the primary. He ran as a Republican in a heavily Democrat county. I don't know if there was another Republican in the primary or not. Turns out he was unopposed in the primary, no other Republican candidate bothered to enter the race If there was, and if NH primaries aren't single-party-ballots, odds are that a lot of Democrats crossed over to help him win.

The Democrat will win the general, sadly.
