The Highlanders are still around. Maybe check in, see if you can contribute as a leader.
I, just days ago took a huge hit in my life. Lost a close friend. A sister from another mister. She was as liberal as they come, but she was all kindness and positivity. The liberalism I grew up with.
I find its important to put one foot in front of the other. Keep. Moving. Forward.
I wish I could see the world the way she did, but I dont. Its a struggle for me. And I feel that it is for you too.
Have goals, FIGHT to achieve them. I dont have the natural personality she did. I have to struggle to get things done. And that OK. I find happiness in the challenge. Life was never supposed to be easy. It was never supposed to be forgiving. This is a truly beautiful world we live in. And there are moments of absolute magic.
But it is harsh, and it is cruel, and it is unforgiving also. That's something the leftists will never understand. If they somehow manage to achieve their utopia... the first hurricane, or whatever comes through and they'll cut everyone's fuel rations.
The key to happiness and success and true peace of mind, is individual freedom. Do what makes you happy, as long as you're not hurting anyone else. Think about your path, where you want to be and how to get there without harming anyone else. That is freedom.
Like I said, check back in with The Highlanders. Bet there's a sergeant major or 2 who remember you. See if you can help out once a month....
You may find a lot of purpose there.
Best wishes from Ottawa, you stampeding son of a bitch!
