Not saying a single mother is incapable of raising a successful adult. I mean Ben Carson’s Mom did.

It’s just that those cases are statistical outliers. Single Moms are by and large more likely to produce broken adults. Who are likely to repeat the circumstances that created their childhood and raise more broken kids.

Hell even a screwed up couple can raise successful kids. My grandparents on my Moms side were both messed up people. Both had rough childhoods that were mentally scaring that would trouble them for life. They still together raised a successful daughter. There’s something magic about the Mother, Father Combo.
