I consulted at an Ivy League for a few years once. They are so up their own asses it’s astonishing.
All their email signatures have an alphabet of “accreditation” bc to them it’s a pissing contest and those titles mean something. My background is trading equities and derivatives so all I lived and breathed was performance.
They were incredibly stupid and very easy to beat. Academia is the 1980s karate master using energy powers to throw his students. Finance and big business was the MMA fighter who Walked in and knocked his fucking teeth out immediately.
I’ll never work for a non profit again nor will I ever respect another MBA. that was some top tier clown shit who were easily pummeled with basic logic. While I hated everyone there, I took a shit load of their money and enjoyed openly hammering and calling out their ridiculous proposals and ideas. They’d truly never met anyone with real world experience before.
Half these execs wouldn’t even come to work before 10am. It was shooting fish in a bucket with a 12 gauge. Got many of them fired and almost as many to quit out of frustration.
Only job I ever quit and on my last day I wrote a “fuck you idiots” email to the people I worked with on my last day. It was as gratifying as it was hilarious. Then I used their money to buy a house on the water in Florida and moved 1300 miles away. One of my most proud achievements.
