Masks are a pretty different thing. There are many many largely conservative people who are still wearing masks. I doubt there is even that much difference in percentage between the affiliation of non-mask wearers if you don't ignore the 40 demographically democratic people not wearing masks at every urban basketball court and park. This is Costco sanctioning someone for their political opinions which is far worse than some mask mandate in their own store.
