I don't think it's just anti-ACB people. There is a Catholic question right now that has gained more attention because of ACB. Many people mistakingly think Catholic = conservative but Vatican II Catholics can be as woke liberal as atheists. And that is the Catholic question. What does being Catholic means in regards to politics? The Pope, being the leader and all, gets targetted as proof of the problems with Catholicism.
I think it's worth bringing this kind of stuff up to people's attention. Traditionalist Catholicism is gaining momentum and Catholics would stand to gain a lot for the religion if they got a new Pope in who scrapped Vatican II for being wrong.
