war on drugs is a multifaceted conspiracy.
for one it supports all sorts of illegal black ops and allows the governmnet to sneak funding to enemies of the state if they so choose.
for two, people within the government or CIA are often at the top of the distribution food chain or very close to it.
this enables them to do things like make infinite money and control the populace. say I sell drugs to a dealer, let him get away with it for awhile, bust the people HE sells to and only have the DEA destroy a fraction of the drugs.
now I can take my re-stolen drugs and sell them again, along with collecting all the money from the dealers, AND prosecute street users for extra tax dollars via courts at the same time. bonus if i can cycle them from court->rehab->court->prison because then everyone gets a cut
and whenever my top guy gets too powerful, I can do the same action in reverse -- wipe him out and take HIS drugs to resell and HIS money and assets, and install another person at that level.
this makes it so indeed -- they can have all the drugs they want with no consequence for use -- but they can infinitely manage their underlings use in whats basically an infinite money ponzi scheme.
one hand washes the other -- they send you to rehab which is more about keeping you as long as they can and then finding you guilty of whatever they can just to pawn you off back to the court system so everyone gets a cut.
what we really need is to end people getting a cut. if drugs are going to be legal, the taxation must be LOW, and the price cannot be anywhere near street price -- as street price is ABOVE what the market will bear (it only bears it currently because of illegality of mass production and sale)
the only reason they're somewhat OK in some places with legalizing marijuana is because the margins dealers make is super low -- at best selling pot, you're only making enough to smoke for free yourself (not as much as a real business) -- in addition to that, they knew it was so wanted by people they could simply tax it to hell and "the market will bear it"
which is bullshit. its worth maybe a bit more than lettuce due to demand. its a fucking weed bush literally.
and they know it, which is why areas where its legal have limitations on growing -- the market cannot bear its price without controls in place. nobody would buy it and just grow a forest in their yard lmao.
so its not only about more DRUGS for them and having an unfair advantage due to no testing for performance enhancers -- its also about $$$$$ and market control.
If drugs were handled properly without the war, the cost would be so low that crime related to drug use would drop, and it wouldnt be possible to fund things or have an infinite money cycling system like what you see between rehabs and the courts only worse.
for example, today a heroin addict might need $120 a day or more. this leads to massive thefts and violent crime. if it only cost them $12, even someone without a job could easily acquire that money and the crime would be so much lessened outside of self-harm and accidental suicide that it would be ridiculous.
