White Brazilian here all my 4 grandparents were sons/daughters of European immigrants. Never did I ever have any republican friend hint or say I wasn't white but when I would agree with them around my liberal friends they'd play "You know you aren't really white since you're from Brazil."

I'd just be like what color is my hair? "blond" what color are my eyes? "Hazel" what color is my skin? "white". Then I'd follow up with "are you seriously trying to racially profile me into agreeing with you?" and that'd get them to shut up.

Meanwhile my republican friends would joke about the whole nazis fleeing to South America or call me a Russian spy.

That's around the time I figured out leftist can only label people and don't know how to joke. Seriously it's rather shocking to realize people have such a biased view on you based on where you were born defying all physical evidence. What was even funnier is the other latinos didn't generally like me or my brother because we were white and we fit in with Americans. I lost count at the amount of times mexicans and other hispanics would come up to me and ask why are americans being nice to you on my first job at a restaurant. I'd tell them because Americans are nice people and they'd just laugh and say "no they're not".

Complete bizarro world. These people self seclude, don't learn the language, have a shitty attitude and still think the world owes them favors.
