I just read the concurrence. Very well thought out as to interpreting the Constitution and the problems that result where there isn’t some type of statutorily created accommodation for religious exemption here. Also, I’m already seeing the left lose it’s shit claiming that Justice Thomas and Alito want to take away gay marriage, which isn’t what their concurrence exactly said.
I do find this sentence interesting though: “[T]he petition provides a stark reminder of the consequences of Obergefell. By choosing to privilege a novel constitutional right over the religious liberty interests explicitly protected in the First Amendment, and by doing so I democratically, the Court has created a problem that only it can fix.”
