Ive recently had the idea - republicans should sponsor a simple bill that makes it impossible to hold a seat in federal office/federal public service if your family has benefited from a slave trade or were slave owners within the last 3-5 generations. 3-5 generations would put most lineage at the time of passing the 14 amendment. Our republican forefathers already fought the war of slavery with democrats... it would be a simple bill in support of real BLM. Democrats would have a hard time explaining why they don’t support such a bill. Kamala Harris and Ilan Omar would be barred from holding office, as well as a lot of other Democrats I’d guess. You could also include any one who took funding to support their run for office from kkk members(Clinton’s, Biden back in the day too I believe.) also add in - if you profited by working with nazis in ww2, you get life in Guantanamo(bye soros)...
