We should get our plans in order for being out there to support him in a positive way at his next hearing on Oct 30. Some thoughts:
I think it should be non-partisan or bi-partisan or whatever you call it, law and order and a fair trial is something everyone wants (lefties want the police when it helps them too, and there are a lot of left-leaning people who are not antifa. they would want to support Kyle too and should feel welcome to do so.)
- emphasize his innocence
- emphasize his good citizenship and care for everyone (med kit as symbol?)
- if people want to tie it to election stuff, make it non-partisan and talk about how responsible voting and vigilance to ensure fair elections is part of good citizenship for every citizen
- also the importance of local voting issues like the Wisconsin DA who charged Kyle like this, and how he ran unopposed
- maybe emphasize the wrongness of people condemning him out of convenience, without an awareness of the facts. maybe point out good actors from all "sides" who have presented his case honestly.
Stretch goal? If we had a simple website people could visit, just presenting raw evidence of his innocence, maybe even little cards or flyers people could hand out or a QR code to scan (is that how people share stuff on mobile these days?).
Also, if you want to help Kyle, biggest thing you can do to help is to VOTE and help make sure Trump and good Republicans win! A hostile administration is not going to help him as his case progresses.
edit: in light of the violence that's happened at rallies, there should ideally be a briefing about security for all participants, or maybe a handout that's clear this is serious, and probably some sort of competent security that knows how to deescalate and emphatically isn't excited about anyone on any side getting hurt. And an arrangement to keep protesters from groups with opposing views reliably physically separate from each other.
edit 2: maybe, not sure if this is a good idea or not: idea for posters or stuff to hold up: pictures of violent attackers who have not been prosecuted yet: Grosskreutz, Ziminski (charges were dropped?), Jumpkicker (unidentified).
