It survived the US domestic shipping stage just fine. The LA to Sydney Australia stage, not so much. I suspect it was the offloading in Hawaii and reloading to another flight where the baboons had their say. Packed with several inches of foam bags all round, it should have been OK. But no... corners of the instrument met something solid after punching through the foam and box.

Options for private international shipping (for costs I can afford) are limited. Have to just pay for insurance, and cross fingers.

God I miss TNT (the Australian international freight company.) Invariably excellent, fast, careful, reasonably priced service. So of course cursed Fedex bought them out, Borged them. TNT as such is no more.
