Right they wanted 5/5 representation. Because of the North they only got 3/5. Un-educated democrats think this means Republicans made them 3/5 ths of a person which is wrong.

I struggle using the right words for this sometimes :D My point was supposed to be zero would have been better than 3/5 and 3/5 was better than 1.
