Honestly, the Secret Service probably got used to it after the first few months of Trump's Presidential campaign/term: Trump is a man of the people, and if he's going to face death, he'd rather face it directly as a happy warrior than run from it like a panicked coward.

That's why, when the British visa-violator tried to steal a cop's gun at one of Trump's early rallies, Trump was standing tall while staring directly at the wannabe assailant, and the Secret Service had to physically PULL/DRAG Trump off the stage (only for Trump to immediately return to the stage as soon as the coast was clear).
