Not just this, if they say this CALL THE COUNTY CLERK! This is in no way allowed in most, if not all states. If this happens to you don’t just make sure you get to vote, call the county and make sure EVERYONE gets to vote.

Edit: Also, make sure your vote is counted before leaving. You can see towards the top middle of the screen a little vote count, and after your vote is processed you’ll see a little flag, and that number will go up. If you don’t see this that means there was a problem with your ballot, and you’ll have to either refill it out, or just put it through and whatever race is filled out wrong won’t be voted on. If you leave before making sure your vote is counter the poll workers can easily replace your ballot, if you stay till it’s counted they can’t.
