So when I went to college at 18, I was apolitical. I still voted for John McCain that year (regretfully) but I wasn't enthused with either him or Obama. I was still pretty dumb, politically and otherwise. Anyway I started working at an office job that was like 85% Dem voters and I sat beside several people that non-stop slobbed on Obama's knob. I just ignored it for the most part as I still considered most of them friends regardless.
When 2012 came along I didn't vote for either Romney or Obama because I was a bit wiser and thought they were both tools. But I had slowly become more and more libtarded - I started painting my fingernails (lol), went vegetarian for ethical reasons (double lol), wrote a philosophy paper praising Karl Marx (mega lol), and I had been hopeful that Pocahontas would run in 2016 (galaxy lol).
So what happened? Well, I got demoted at work and decided to leave that shit hole. I moved back in with my parents at 24 with nothing to my name - no skills, no degree, no money... it was a very humbling experience. Luckily for me, my dad is a walking, talking red pill, a brilliant thinker and a very hard worker. He was a former Democrat who soured on the party many years ago. Just listening to his ideas on things like small government, healthcare, 2A, etc; he made a lot of sense and I found myself agreeing with him more and more. We didn't get along at all when I was a teenager and I thought I was way smarter than him (I know), but with age and experience I found his advice and opinions invaluable. Now I'm a homeowner, making more money than I ever have, and I live right across from him. My dad is the reason I'm redpilled and who I am today. Anyway I found the_donald while looking up info on Trump after we heard he was running because dad said he made a surprising amount of sense and the rest is history.
