The children disappeared, and never reached their destination. The parents scoured the hills, but didn’t even find bones, or tattered clothing. Did someone intercept them on their journey, and tell them “hey kids, it’s us- the friendly faces you know and trust from the Catholic Church. Change of plans. Come this way for food and shelter, then you can continue on your journey” Then, the children were just “POOF” gone.
