Spez: I thought this was the Social Security death index, but it's not. It's a bogus site.

Ancestry.com has some death data associated with Michigan, but it ends in 1996. So, it's useless for this.

What you really need is a subscription to the Social Security Death Master File (DMF):

But, you have to certify you have a legitimate business purpose for the data. And you have to pay $247 for three years (initial data, plus updates).
