About beans. The ones in the can are already cooked and ready to go. The dried ones in the bag need to be rinsed in a mesh strainer, then soaked for an hour in new water to cover, then that water is discarded. They are rinsed again and into the slow cooker they go. No problem. Eat cold or hot. Sauce them cold with salad dressing, or hot with anything. They are good for you, cheap, and last in storage two years.

The dried ones in the bag need to be first rinsed in a mesh strainer, then soaked for an hour in new water to cover, then that water is discarded, and they are rinsed again. Into the slow cooker they go, overnight. They are done in the morning. No problem. Eat cold or hot. Sauce and spice them cold with salad dressing, or hot with anything, it doesn't matter. They are good for you, and last in storage two years.
