The reason why some people here are probably taking offense is because you didn't give the full story. There were many reasons as to why that was a better overall period of time for the US. In regards to voting. Building a family back then consisted of the man going to work making enough money for the whole family while the woman homesteads. It made total sense as to why men were the only voters. Nowadays women are just as much a part of our economy. I guess they have to vote. I personally agree with you btw. Because women are typically more emotional(except our disgusting population of soyboys here) and because they are more emotional they always go the virtuous route. Save the world type of stuff. It just isn't practical because it is derived from empathy and emotion.
