I agree, but there's more to it, especially with my generation (Millennials). We've been on the internet since it was a thing. We've all said dumb, cringy, and edgy stuff. We see what the media and political machine did to people that ran against the establishment, and we know now that Big Tech works hand in hand with them to destroy you with mysterious leaks of anything you've ever done wrong.

And for as wonderfully patriotic and Christian as we are on the Right, we aren't very gracious at times. The Left will hate us by default, and if a good chunk of the Right does as well, then we were destroyed "for nothing". That's the risk, right?

It takes someone truly and unimaginably strong and exceptional like Trump to stand up and say "Yeah, I've been a real piece of shit in the past, but I'm here to serve you, help you to be free, and make this country prosper." Most of us don't have that kind of ego, for better or worse.

Edit: So yeah, point is, we have an entire generation that should be stepping up, but we are afraid to take all those slings and arrows like Trump has. And this isn't an excuse, just something I've talked with a lot of my peers about and they agreed.
