Possible reasons why the Dems torched it:
a) Avoids further investigation and proof of fraud. This means the judge might be forced to either throw ALL the votes out or a re-vote. Both of which gives the Dems a better chance than the fraud being conclusively proven in court.
b) Avoids proof of fraud that can be used in other states. At worst, the Dems can argue that this only happened in Pennsylvania. Saves them other states and hides the methods of their fraud.
c) Saves the asses of the individual Dems who committed voter fraud. All those possible people implicated in voter fraud could turn and become witness, it is best to reduce the number of people that can be investigated.
d) Dems can also argue that the perpetrator of the ballot destruction is not necessarily a Democrat. It could be a Republican, and if it is, why should the people's votes not be counted just coz a Republican torched the ballots??
