This is a redpill.
A gentle red pill to wake the normies.
They're not evil. They're deceived and asleep.
So ask someone, "Do you remember when you started thinking that way."
Let them ponder that.
They're having cognitive dissonance. They believe they`re having their own thoughts, but they have no memory of when/why they started believing that.
They are not ready to believe that the media is brainwashing them. You can't get there in one conversation.
So you can say, the alt-right media I read says the media brainwashes people and one of the signs is they can't remember when they started to believe it.
Label it "alt right". Why? Because it gives them an out. And when they have an out, they are more likely to consider the idea. If they feel like they're being forced to believe it, they'll reject it without consideration.
Then say, but you'll probably remember tonight when you started believing this. Nobody can come up with that on the spot.
They can't. And they won't. But they'll now wonder in the back of their minds whether the media is brainwashing them. next time the media is blatantly wrong, the idea will gain strength in their mind.
And the red pill has begun.
