Yes. PLUS, many of the sites where you can reach out to a large amount of people are HEAVILY censored/restricted. Plus, you have to watch your wording and what you mention online IN GENERAL.

It makes it tough to get in contact with all the right people and NONE of... the "wrong" ones.

I was considering short wave radio, but not sure how many of the right people monitor certain frequencies. Surely some, but not enough. Would be good to keep in contact AFTER the fact, though.
