I’m inclined to think that these guys, when they first started, had no idea that they would eventually become so powerful. You grow in size, you get lawyers, you get accountants, you get partnered with people who want to make money, so much legal text becomes involved and the next thing you know you inadvertently become a slave to the swamp. I think these guys got themselves into something they can’t get out of and the second they try the swamp either grabs hold of them, their fortune, or their family. A little conspiratorial, I know.
