Personally, I just don't wear one, very seldom do people approach me, but I have been approached. If they are regular people, I ignore them. If they are employees I just politely tell them I have an ailment which makes wearing masks medically intolerable for me. Truthfully, I probably could wear a mask, but i downright refuse. I actually do have a qualifying ailment by King Cuomo's standards and he has so graciously awarded me exemption -- and that's the ace up my sleeve if I ever needed it to make a civil case out of it, but no one has ever tried to challenged me. It hasn't reached that point yet. Some people are pretty snooty about it and mumble some shit under their breath, but I don't take offense to it. I just laugh in my head because of their complete lack of self awareness.

Edit: I wanted to include, it shouldn't have to come down to civil lawsuits for ADA and HIPPA rights violations, but I'm fully prepared to go that route if that's how far these people want to take it. It might be an uphill battle legally, if that should ever occur, but fuck these people. I'm not going to let these people shame me for not wearing a mask, because they are paranoid. Medical conditions or not, you shouldn't let these people shame you either.
