And at the pace technology is developing, every 5 years is that much worse. I imagine in a decade not only will there be an additional 10 million democrats in the country, but military technology will eclipse a large number off humans with automatic weapons.

Furthermore, if Balkanization is ever achieved as a solution (after some new fight for independence), the other side will continue to flood themselves with people. They will quickly go from half the population of the USA, back to their current population and outnumbering the legacy Americans. What’s to stop the opposing half of the USA from taking in 10 million people every year, propagandizing them against the other half of the USA, arming them then sending them northwards.

There has to be a deterrent to stop these kinds of things. Russia is the only possible example. When the Soviet Union fell, and Balkanized, they retained their nuclear weapons and it’s the only way that they’re able to maintain control over their territory while having a smaller population. The same outcome would have to be achieved for any new America that is formed after a new independence movement.
