TBH, "as a vet"... I actually in general find myself avoiding companies that brand themselves as 'veteran owned' and push the ooo-rah military shit.

Two reasons.

First, there's like 100% correlation with any company like that and having much higher prices than anyone else. It's like a fucking 20% veteran tax to buy anything from any company that leans super-heavy on that market.

Second, it feels almost kind of greasy and comes across just feeling like a disingenuous gimmick for marketing. Like that's all their service boiled down to, was a way for them to sucker people in.

I feel like if you took the veteran/military shit off of any of these companies they'd go out of business in two months, because there's nothing there to justify what they typically charge.

TBH, "as a vet"... I actually typically avoid companies that make a big deal about veterans. I dunno... it seems like more often than not they end up being scummy companies that almost always overcharge and underdeliver. I've come to the conclusion that the veteran label has just become a marketing gimmick.
