One such statistic was that under former Vice President Joe Biden's plan, Wall Street indicated that 18.6 million jobs, green jobs would be created. He also stated that these jobs pay very well, between "45 and 50 bucks an hour". What he failed to say however, was that these jobs would be federal jobs, meaning the American tax payer would be footing the bill for this. I'm no genius, but it doesn't take one to do the math on that. Employing these 18.6 million people at $45 an hour would cost 837 million dollars an hour. At $50 an hour, employing these 18.6 million people an hour would be 930 million dollars an hour. Earlier in the debate former Vice President Joe Biden talked about, and said he would implement a $15 an hour wage increase, across the US, in every state. So let's once again do the math, employing 18.6 million people for one hour, at $15 an hour, would cost the American tax payer 270 million dollars an hour, not to mention construction costs, which would be in the trillions.
