I have arrived at a time in life that decisions of conviction must be made. It is with some sadness that the statements which follow were not made before now. Quite possibly the adage, better late than never, applies.
This country and the world are at a crossroads. If a choice has not been made, now is the time of choosing. There are evil forces at work in the political structure and within the church. This very evil will be confronted and where I stand, in opposition to this evil, will be made clear and undeniable.
I love my country. As the years have passed and as maturity has taken root, I have grown in knowledge, patriotism, history, and the growth therein has become an esteemed priority. There has been a heightened understanding of that precious word, liberty. Liberty is to be treasured and prized yet it is under assault. Far too many, through the years, have traded liberty for comfort. This is a deadly exchange.
I love with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength the Lord my God. Who, despite my depravity, has sought me with great passion and saved me. The Lord, Jesus Christ, has taken upon himself, all my sin and misdeed, past, present and future and given me his perfect righteousness. So, when God the Father looks upon me, He does not see my imperfections and unrighteousness, but He sees Jesus’ perfect obedience. This is a great exchange.
These two, added with my wife and children, make up the three most important things in my life. For each of them, I am prepared to defend unto death.
As stated earlier, the current time finds itself in a precarious and unstable state. There are those who want the destruction of my country, my Lord, and my family. Make no mistake, they do not have my specific family in mind, rather, they have instability as the means to advance their greedy, self-promoting interests. These nefarious forces demand an unstable United States of America, the weakening of the church and nuclear family.
Certainly, those who resist these forces will face opposition. The severity of this opposition in the coming days, weeks and years is not clear. Let it be known that I will fight this evil in prayer, in thought, in action, in defense, in conversation and every other action which may be required. The result may be jail, injury, or death. If this means the ultimate price, that I give my life, then let it be known I will die worthily for death will find me pursuing and defending my passions. For those who know me, may you not mourn that I died but rather, mourn only that we will be separated for a short while.
These statements come from a humble and contrite heart. I can only fulfill these desires if God gives me the strength and courage. These proclamations are made from an overwhelmed conscience realizing how deeply cherished are the blessings of God, family and country with a deep conviction needed to defend these same blessings.
May God bless the United States of America and may His grace shine upon us in the name of Jesus Christ.
