The US military is the most powerful entity to ever exist on the planet earth. A single US Air Force base in Europe or Asia could destroy an entire country. One base. All that unbelievable power must be maintained at all costs.
Look at South Korea. We have hundreds of billions of dollars worth of military might there. That's one country. Look at Germany, Italy, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Djibouti, Somalia, etc. The institution will not let you kill it.
The US government doesn't work for the people, it works for the global institution of peace through strength and power projection. This is done in concert with European, Asian, Latin American and African countries. It's almost impossible to grasp the sheer scope and size of military might that we wield. Of course the Establishment cannot allow our government to fall into civil war. We have trillions of dollars worth of holdings around the globe.
Trump was a blip, an anomaly. The world cannot allow America to fall into truly conservative hands. It will not.
