I hope this isn’t an unpopular opinion, but I agree with the tradition of ex-presidents not criticizing their successors. Obama probably did this more than most ex-presidents especially during the 2020 election. But I have the feeling Trump will disregard this tradition, bigly.

We NEED to give Cruz, Hawley or ???? the spotlight to take on the mantle of Trump. We need the next generation of presidential contenders to not only have the political leanings of Trump but also the balls to take on the media and swamp. The more air that Trump takes is all the less air these guys will get.
