Edit: Ok... So, I see several people saying this never happened or point to a historical document, etc... Perhaps it never happened. That's missing the spirit of my message, but I'm OK with that.

I'm no history expert. I will say this though. There are some historical recounts of this happening. What is history? What is the word "history"? A lot of history was taught orally and there are no historical documents to prove something, but there are years of stories passed down generationally.

I guess what I want to say is that just because there isn't a historical document to prove something happened does not mean it did not happen. There's no historical document to prove that nomadic Indians crossed the Bering straight and found their way to America then.

So, yeah, maybe this never actually did happen. But maybe it did, and maybe the stories are true. Just because you cannot prove this actually happened means it didn't happen.

I do think it is fair to say that it is a plausible story.
