My wife and kids rode their bikes to the local ice cream place. They were enjoying their ice cream before they headed back home. Two other family's were there, all keeping more than 15 feet of distance, as well as people in the drive thru. They were off of the property of the ice cream shop, and on the public property of our local trail system because the ice cream shop has flipped all of their tables making them unusable. All of the family's were approached by a local police officer and told they had to leave. He stated we are still under lockdown and they all had to head home right now and not stop or congregate along the way. An older man in the drive thru jumped out of his truck and began scolding the officer because he was harassing family's who were doing everything correctly.
I was not there with them, but I am heading to the police station after I post this. I will not be wearing a mask. Today is my only day off and I will spend it at their station, or in front of their station marching in the rain.
