He is not saying that he is expecting to find that they have done nothing wrong.

He is saying that he does not expect that to be a federal crime as per the books.

The problem is that as the head of executive the president has full authority to direct or review any investigation or spying operation.

The doj as it is part of the executive has no jurisdiction to try the president for carrying out executive action during their tenure no matter how abusive they are .

The only remedy in our constitution for presidential transgressions is an impeachment.

Now the problem is that an ex president has never been impeached. So what happens after that will be a problem for the legislative to solve.

This is a mirror image of what the left was hoping with mueller. They wanted the mueller report to be used as a tool for impeachment.

Mueller couldn't indict. No matter how much the hack weismann wanted over bogus obstruction of justice. Barr also cannot indict.

To:dr Presidents and vice presidents cannot be indicted, they can only be impeached.
