Denial of human determination, a sin against humanity.
This post might get buried with current day news revolving around protest and riots, but I wanted to discuss one of the biggest travesties against humanity that's come about all of this hysteria.
Regarding the above picture, it depicts a person advocating to trust the experts only then to chastise those who want to may want to do their own research. Political affiliation, and current events aside, this is among the biggest sins of humanity.
"What fucking research am I going to do that is going in any way be more valid or valuable than research from a government agency that spends $6.5 BILLION a year on studying diseases?"
"Do you honestly think your Google skills are worth six and a half billion dollars a year of scientific research by scientists specializing in that field?"
This theme has been rampant throughout all of the covid19 mask saga. It's also the biggest insult to those who stood before us in history who dared to ask questions and find new possibilities.
So you're telling me: a person can't pick up a chemistry/biology/medical/nutrition book, can't cross reference sources, can't read through anecdotes, can't watch through interviews between both sides of the discussion, can't read through medical journals, can't self educate on concepts to understand the arguments, cant put all the pieces together to come up with their own opinion?
In modern analogies, this is straight up grade school bullying. I’m sure yall heard stories of people being told that they can’t do something because they’re too short, too tall, too dumb, too weak, too fat, too skinny, untalented, lazy, ugly, weird, and etc. In fact I’m sure that you’ve heard this yourself. Who is it to decide that someone can’t excel at something they’re passionate about, something that they’re inquisitive about, something that they enjoy, or something that they may relish in the challenge of overcoming?
It’s why we’ve come to learn of the whole “chip on the shoulder” archetype that you see in so many successful people that seemingly come from nowhere. Jackie Robinson, Galelio, Tom Brady, Copernicus, Charles Barkley, Kepler, Muggsy Bogues, or any person present to past. These people were slighted, saying that they couldn’t do something, that their physical appearance was different, or that their ideas were not within the normal standard.
In regards to Covid19, please consider the following terms.
Vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, Didier Raoult, hydroxychloroquine, chloroquine, plaquenil, azithromycin, cytokine storm, malaria, safe/recommended dosages, lupus, zinc ionophore, quercetin, tonic water, quinine, UV lights, differences and effects between UV A, B, C lights and their interactions with viruses, covid 19 HIV-like protein mutation, virus mutation, coronavirus mutations through the years, efficacy of flu vaccines, efficacy of wearing a mask, bacterial buildup on prolong mask use, human immune system, vitamins/minerals effects on immune system, medical journals, chemistry/biology/medical/nutrition reference material, South Korea/Vietnam/Taiwan/Japan, French/Italy responses, statistics, “lies, damned lies, and statistics”, r curve, Dr. Seheult Med Cram, Dr. Dan Erickson, Dr. Artin Massihi, and many more.
So, you’re telling me, I’m not qualified to understand those searches? That I’m not qualified to learn more, to explore concepts that I don’t know, to find solutions, to become fascinated about how intricate yet simple how the puzzle pieces of life intertwine, or to find learning new things as “fun.”
However, I understand where the original comments are coming from. I understand that there are people who have spent more time studying these topics than I have, who are more knowledgeable of how things connect on a bigger picture. I just think it’s the fallacy of appealing to authority with disregard to the counter-argument’s plausible claims.
Because, if you disregard the counter-argument, you are essentially limiting or downright denying human determination.
What about the claims of the people who discovered the above covid 19 terms? Do those people have no merit? Who is it to say that those people have no place in their own determination to make humanity better one step at a time, no matter how small? Who is it to say that I cannot have my own determination of what is plausible or not?
Why is it you have to listen to one authority figure that dismisses/debunks the claims of the other party? Why do you have to limit your growth as a human? Why do you have to consume everything that the authority figure gives you when you inherited human ability to create and think for yourself?
Am I merely sheep to just follow, or am I human with my own self determination to seek out these mysteries?
