There's a cascade now of major retailers mandating them as store policy. You think they're going to take it away whenever this virus hype finally fades? Nope. Too many of their perceived customers will be too scared to go in enclosed spaces like stores ever again and become complete germaphobes. They already have the power to intimidate people who dare to come in maskless. They will flip their phone out to record their confrontation with you as they berate you both to report to the Gestapo and because they fear you will assault them back. Even small shops are fearful of being shut down and losing their business licenses for not being proxy enforcers.

It's going to become a part of life forever now if we don't do something to stop it...and I don't just mean going in maskless and saying "fuck them I can decide for myself". You won't win. Everyday people are being turned into snitches. They're wound up so tight over the fear porn they have pumped into their brain they will try to fight you for disobeying orders and claim that you're just trying to get them sick by not conforming. Governors are cucking out all over the country. Even Governors some think are based. How long til SD finally gives in? They'll probably be the last, but if this isn't stopped and reversed it can happen eventually.

Does anyone with the power to effect REAL change have any balls to stand up to this now?

The common man, even in a group will get singled out, fined, possibly jailed depending on the locality and you won't win in court because the judges are all on the side of the mayor or governor. They'll just say "Governor said, you violated the rule, case closed". or, "it's posted store policy, you agree to their rules by shopping there, case closed, fine + court fees and any jail time the local order prescribes"

Yes, I'm sure people think it sounds like concern, but more it's frustrated venting. Venting on how naive some people seem to be on this, that "it's going to go away one way or another by November and we will all get back to normal". The precedent has been established. Hell designer labels are already producing "face coverings" to be an accessory like a hat, handbag or watch. People are eventually going to "just accept it" and stop fighting. Everyday it seems more and more people are stopping fighting it and just giving in. It's depressing how many people are willingly giving in because they think that the sooner we all comply the sooner we get over this and the sooner we get back to life as we knew it. That life ain't coming back.
