Secondly is the fact that even though there are people there who are vandalizing and rioting - most are just there for the entertainment value. It's a only small percentage of them that are genuinely doing bad things. Many are college age young people who will eventually mature and see the error of their ways. The ones that don't will most likely eventually take themselves out of the gene pool one way or another anyway.

Thirdly is that the local and international media would immediately jump on government agencies shooting their own citizens and use it as proof that President Trump is a brutal dictator. Most people these days don't bother to read past the headlines or stop to think of the reasons behind why certain actions are taken. They just know that someone got shot and it was during Trump's presidency.

As much as I would love to see this end quickly - it's kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't situation.
