I actually have a medical condition, I am pre-COPD thanks to an auto-immune condition. I have ground-glass opacities in my lungs. If I continue to wear a mask, it will damage my lungs further. I truly should not wear a mask.

I had to wear one all day yesterday, flying to get my daughter set up for her first year at college. It was miserable. I'M DONE.

If they call me selfish for not wearing a mask, I will tell them that wearing a mask could lead to me needing a lung transplant. Is your fake fear more important than my lungs and life? WHO'S SELFISH NOW?

UPDATE: Put my toe in the water. Went to the grocery store I frequent. Got a few smiles, but if they wanted to glare at me, I never gave them the chance. Got to the cash register and only then did the cashier say, "Sorry, we got to enforce the mask rule." I repllied, "I have a medical condition, so I can't wear one." She sighed deeply and that was it. Little bit of an attitude from the girl bagger, but it was a successful trip.

The more I do this, the stronger and more confident I feel. We ALL need to do this. LET'S GO!
