A thread to gather ideas for legal non-violent actions that people who want to do something can start doing as we wait for the Election. Please add your suggestions/modifications - highest upvotes will be edited into this post.

I. PREPARE FOR THE VOTE:

• Talk to your neighbor about voting
• Vote! (and help others get to do that too if you can)
• Volunteer as a poll worker or a poll watcher/judge, you may need to apply well in advance. Find out how.
• Phone bank and door knock for good candidates in your area.

II. GEAR UP:

1. Arm yourself - if you aren't armed yet and live in a restrictive state or city, look at Shotguns and Hunting Rifles. They are often easier to get a license for if required, and entry level gear often has a similar price to Handguns (which may have higher fees and restrictions).

2. Go to a Gun Range and practice. If you can, find and join more experienced people that can teach you.

3. Food: Gather supplies of non-perishables like Rice / Preserved Meat, and get a gas operated burner with a supply of matching gas. Obtain large water containers that do not contaminate the water.

4. Stock up on Fuel/Gas for your vehicle - can you refuel at least once without visiting that station? Can you store the fuel safely?

III. ORGANIZE:

1. 2. Find trustworthy people among Friends and Neighbours, and establish a group with communications of people who would defend the neighbourhood.

3. Create a smaller group of people who you really trust.

4. Host events to get to know these people well, and have the events happen on a regular schedule.

5. Establish a PLAN in case mobile communication goes down - Where do your groups meet, how do they exchange information? Plan ahead and practice.

6. If some members of a group don't own a vehicle - coordinate sharing rides for group events. Who picks up who, when, etc.

7. Establish a communications with numbers for members of local Law / Sheriff / National Guard, you want to know these people personally if possible, especially if they share your view on politics. Now is the best time to hold pro-police rallies at stations, sharing food and conversation.

IV. INFORMATION

1. Create Guides on how to convince the kind of people who may be on the fence in the case of events: Neutral Normies, Law Enforcement. It's not enough to be on the right side, we need to be able to articulate our ideas in a fast and convincing manner.

2. Have Printed Materials to bring people over in case communications go down - all the evidence of manipulation and wrongdoing by the other side might get buried or blocked. Communications might not be reliable. Have the best evidence printed and ready to be hard copied.
