Those windmill farms are a subterfuge. In general, they've been pushed by the companies that will provide fuel to that backup power generation plants. There has to be enough backup generation to make up for the shortfalls inherent in wind and solar systems. So the real profit source is NOT anything to do with the windmills. Oh no.
The real profit is in selling the fuel to power the backup power generation plants. If they have built unreliable "green" systems without enough backup generation capability, that's simply irresponsible.
Leftist gun grabbers maintain there are NO good people with guns. Every single gun owner is a potential shooter, a criminal-to-be, just because they have access to guns. They know criminals won't give up guns, but pretend they will.
The grabbers believe law-abiding citizens will turn in their guns if ordered to do so, and less guns "out there" is inherently good. Also, their knowledge of "scary" assault weapons is based on Rambo-style movie bullet-hoses. They have no direct knowledge, just what they see in movies and TV, and hear from talking heads on TV (who also know nothing).
It's no more sophisticated than that.
Could the Congress somehow "convict" or censure him in some way to impose a gag order on him? I can't imagine how, but just curious if this has been discussed. It seems they've used the threat of conviction to keep him quiet so far.
Read Kurt Schlichter's books, starting with "People’s Republic". It was supposed to be a bit of a satire, a parody, of leftism and its hypothetical effects.

Former TN resident. They have a "CHL" permit, a Carry Handgun License. You need it to carry either open or concealed.
For as tyrannical as Michigan is, at least you can open carry here with no permit required. A permit is needed to carry concealed though.

Engineers are smart. But like any smart system, garbage in = garbage out. Smart people still do some dumb things.
People are being brainwashed, propagandized, and they don't seem to even care. Social acceptance is paramount. They won't stand up to any criticism, any mockery of their position.
A big reason is the women, who lead men around by their.... appendage. Men want sex, women will deny it if the men don't cater to the women's concerns. So the men give in, over, and over, and over again.
The real problem, the biggest problem, is the millennial women. The culture for the last 20 years or more has been all about "empowering" the "fierce" women. So now they have embraced that. Sorry, that becomes a whole rant of its own.
We used to live north of Nashville, and loved the state. We were just there visiting friends, and the city is absolutely exploding with growth. Tower cranes everywhere, new buildings springing up like mushrooms.
Amazing. That kind of vibrant life was one of the greatest pleasures living there. It is simply an exciting place to be!
