Something, anything, military, legal, any sort of colossal disruptor, seems always to be the next "It's happening!" hope here. At this point, I just can't see it.

My nephew became a high school history teacher. He was brought up in a conservative home. In a very short time, he was spouting all the lefty points. This came to a head around the 2016 election, when I finally unfriended my own nephew from Facebook! He was so offensively leftist, and completely unaware, I couldn't take it anymore.

I confronted him about it at a family gathering, one of the last times I saw him. He said as a teacher he could NOT go against the PC culture, or he risked not gaining tenure. Tenure, the holy grail of teachers. Imagine a job where you virtually cannot be fired for anything, as long as you demonstrate your willingness to be "one of the team". It's disgusting.

What you say about people voting for Obama is largely true, and is largely why I lost all faith in the electorate as a result. If they'd ignore him for what he was, and vote for him because he had a nice smile, well, we're lost. That's EXACTLY why I was so disappointed back then.

At least the 2nd Obama term gave us President Trump. I agree Romney would have been just as bad, maybe worse, and we would not have had Trump.

My faith in the American election system took a huge hit in 2012. I figured in 2008, enough people were so enamored with proving America wasn't racist that they'd vote for the "black" candidate, just to prove how noble and virtuous they were.

Well, 4 years of the Obama nightmare surely revealed how big of a mistake it was electing that Marxist.

And then 2012 happened, and he was, by hook or by crook, reelected. I said, "Alright, that's it, we're done for. We're too stupid or corrupted to govern ourselves anymore.".

And then 2016 happened. I was so surprised that Wednesday morning when I got up, I couldn't believe that Trump had actually won! I thought, "Hoo boy, Hillary's crew screwed that up. They didn't know how hard they'd have to cheat to win, and they slipped up. They sure as hell won't let that happen again. This is going to be a wild 4 years!".
