They're aerosols, 5 microns and smaller. They don't settle out of the air, but float about for a long time. Bigger droplets caught on masks re-evaporate, releasing tiny aerosols laden with viruses. Air escapes in jets around the perimeter of a typically ill-fitting mask, in addition to passing right straight through the relatively enormous pores in the cloth material.
Masks are nearly useless without serious effort.

I had no real expectation that Trump would actually beat Felonia Milhouse von Pantsuit. Not after all the shenanigans leading up to that night.
But the next morning, when I heard he had actually won, I thought "Hoo boy... ok... here we go!". I expected lunacy, but got far more than I expected. Unfortunately, I also expected to see conservative values advanced, but got far less than I expected.
And really, I thought Trump would struggle like Berlusconi did in Italy. An outsider coming smack to the center of Washington politics would face a colossal learning curve. Also, would not have a legion of favor-traders and hangers on to reward with administrative positions. And Trump has struggled mightily with traitorous staffers; still does to this day.
If he does win in November, I think we'll see a s**t show like nothing that's come before.
The media are trying desperately to disillusion President Trump's supporters, to separate him from his base. It is an endless propaganda campaign, relentless, bigger than Goebbels could do in WWII. We have so much information available to us now, yet we seem to know less than ever!
The ennui, the sadness, the deepening apathy, are symptoms of the left's war on conservatism. We feel isolated. We feel like the effort just isn't worth it anymore.
They're hoping desperately that they can suck the life out of enough supporters that they'll just sit home in despair. If they can somehow discourage President Trump's supporters enough, the fraud they are planning may work.

Someone shared with me this "study" supporting mask wearing. It seems very possible this is a spurious correlation, a "post hoc ergo propter hoc" logical fallacy. The causality is what matters. I'm puzzled how masks that are widely reported not to be very effective for either transmitting or avoiding the viral particles could have had such an effect.

I'm curious about refuting it. For one thing, I've seen articles saying viral pandemics tend to follow a specific pattern with or without interventions. But the pro-masking crowd are convinced that since they put on masks and the trends shifted.
My country, America, is under relentless attack by leftists, both internal and external. They attack our culture, our history, our founding fathers, our constitution, the very rights we hold to be given by God. This is infuriating.
And what really sets me off, the government of this same country is NOT defending any of it! In fact, complicit in destroying it (rampant illegal immigration, government schools, excessive taxation, transfer payments of all kinds, coddling criminals, two-tiered 'justice' system, the imperial congress, and on, and on).
I am so far beyond angry I just don't have the words to express it.
