I've known attendings who came from Caribbean schools, but they graduated top of class, had unbeatable Step scores and generally found ways to make themselves competitive regardless. They earned their spot.
If you graduate with a meh CV from a foreign school, yeah no you won't match
Nah, it's still harder than that to get credentialed as a surgeon. And residency program directors for surgical fields are especially known for being conservative (thank God), less likely to select candidates based on wokeness
Please keep visibility on this bill. It's in House judicial committee now - if it gets out, we need as much pressure on it as was done with ATF and pistol braces.

My medical school admins would email and write us ESSAYS after Floyd died, Kenosha, January 6 - and each time I'd pray "PLEASE don't let them embarrass the school by grandstanding before all the facts are out." And each time I'd be disappointed. And this after us STUDENTS were admonished to be careful what we say on social media.
After January 20, it's been radio silence.
Admittedly I haven't looked into it in depth, but my understanding is the sheer NUMBER of satellites makes it a non-issue. 800ish (960 maybe?) deployed to date, with 12,000 planned by 2021 and up to 30,000 for global coverage.
This is much bigger than anything done before.
And I gave up clowning five years ago. lucrative, but a dead end once I finished undergrad.
Mind you, I was a balloon-slinging, cotton candy-making clown that sometimes did magic tricks. These clowns make IT look tame.
