You are correct. Bitcoin, just like federal reserve notes has no intrinsic value and relies on confidence to maintain price. It does have utility value over dollars though. Can transfer anywhere nearly instantly with the dependency on a bank. There's also some degree anonymity in it, but only if you really know what you're doing. You're also protected from inflation or the risk of thr government fucking up the currency in a number of ways.
Guys, this last week has been rough, but there's a silver lining to all of the tech tyranny. Parler and others will fill the void left by totalitarian big tech. Reasonable lefties who value free speech will also join the mass migration. Twitter and Facebook will slowly become less and less relevant.
