Nope. Latino is a term used to identify, categorize, and differentiate between North, South, and Central American people. In the end though, different people will tell you different things. Some people will tell you that only people from Central and/or South America can be Latino. shrug

Hispanics have roots in Spain. So Mexicans would be Hispanic while Brazilians would not be (no roots in Spain) Latinos have to do with Latin based languages, so both Mexicans and Brazilians are considered Latinos.

It was a shock when I was a new private in the Army, and found out that Republicans were not all white racists (I grew up in California) it was a shock to learn that our government lied to us to get us into a war with Iraq over 9/11. It was even a shock when I sat myself down, and made myself accept that a lot of things that I believe was because I had been told that they were true by teachers and society without me gathering any evidence of my own to verify their claims. At this point, I could learn that the world is flat, and that the moon landing was a hoax and I wouldn’t be surprised.
