well i just found out what case i was looking for
https://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/republican-party-of-pennsylvania-v-boockvar-2/
at the moment we are waiting for the defendants to file a response. what i dont understand is why do they even bother, what they did was clearly unconstitutional. it seems like they asked for an extension of 5 days just to waste time, right? (presented with some shitty arguments that will go nowhere)
That was the individual states courts
That's what the lawsuits are arguing but I'm seeing 0 progress from them
Scotus should be the goal because I'm not counting on RINOs in the slightest
How did they create this mess?
All Im hearing is that this case will go to scotus but we never hear from it again once it reaches the court of appeals
Does ANYONE know what's happening to these cases?
well it's clear there is fraud i just want to know whats going to be done about it
i know but whats the legal process right now
they can't throw them out just yet because dems who outnumbered gop 2:1 voted against the objections
I've been asking everywhere for specific cases and when i finally come across someone who replies they give conflicting answers
I've just come to the conclusion nobody knows
But do you know what happened to it?
Why does it appear to be sitting at the appellate court though? Isn't their some motion you can file for emergency appeal (something along those lines)?
Things just seem to move toooo slow
They really ought to grant these cases, I've lost track on how many are waiting at the appellate court. Have you been following any of those cases?
Do you know what happened to the other constitutional case about usurping election law from the pa supreme court?
Do you know what happened to the constitutional case that was supposed to be a slam dunk? I think it's the one vs Kathy Boockvar
I get conflicting info, all I know is that it's stuck at the appellate court.
Just prior to the election scotus challenged the unconstitutional usurping of election law by the state's SC and resulted in a 4-4 split because ACB rightfully recused herself as she wasn't present during the first hearing
Iirc they brought up this issue again but the state SC ruled that they did nothing wrong . could be very wrong on this though, heard it from a few posts - and that's exactly my problem here, I have no idea what's going on with the court cases. There's no clear lawsuit tracker and I'm just tying information here and there.
The lawsuit challenging this constitutional issue I just described was supposed to be a slam dunk case but now I'm hearing scotus will likely throw it back to the district court because rudy conceded that constitutional argument (???)
Every 2 days I'm hearing a new lawsuit is appealed at the appellate court, ready to go to scotus, but nothing ever happens after.
I'm sorry for this rant I'm absolutely knackered from all this. I just want to see some real progress regarding the courts or at the very least someone from the legal team to outline the current status of every lawsuit. I'm going insane hearing conflicting information everywhere
still, can't democrats file a counter lawsuit and get it to their state SC to overrule the lower court?
They will pull try to pull nasty shit like this I think
But it was the PA supreme court that changed election rules.
They're just going to say "we did nothing wrong lmao what constitution u talkin bout"
I mean who knows how much they will double down
I'm hearing that they will appeal this to the states supreme court where democrats hold the majority
I mean idk I'm so exhausted from these legal battles I just want to skip this month
I know but I keep hearing multiple cases are at the appellate court but I'm never hearing anything further than that
Do you know what's happening with PA?
This was supposed to be a slam dunk, idk what's going on
Like I said with the other guy, isn't the 8th the deadline to where all legal challenges must be settled?
Isn't the 8th of December the deadline to where all legal challenges must be settled?
14th is where all states should be certified
To be fair imagine being the judge who overturned election results, you'd want to turn a blind eye to avoid being made "famous"
In a first world country, a judge this level doesn't usually get such cases. This was always meant to go and decided by scotus
Joseph, do you feel elected?
how many do we need?
I'm sure they do, just wondering in the general sense of what's going on this week
I found the lawsuit I was looking for
https://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/republican-party-of-pennsylvania-v-boockvar-2/
There seems to be multiple lawsuits on the same issue as I understand it
