The rioters involved in attacking the shooter should be charged with murder. Sorta like if you tag along with a bad guy that gets shot by a good guy during the commission of a crime, they charge you with murder, not the good guy that put an end to it.

The City Clerk plans to get approval for the additional boxes from City Counsel at the September 8th meeting. The Counsel is a push-over. This is a done deal. Boxes ordered and ready to install.
Finally, a police chief who upholds the law. If all the departments were run like this we wouldn’t have riots. We’d have protests, but they’d be peaceful if all violent and destructive actions were investigated and prosecuted like they were in this case.

Permits to fix the inadequate spillway were not being issued by the state. They were tied up in court. Boyce Hydro, owner of the failed dam, sensed the danger and ordered water levels in the lake to be lowered until the spillway could be repaired.
But Dana Nessel, Michigan Attorney General, had other plans... she filed a lawsuit to prevent the lowering of the lake because it might negatively impact fresh water mussels.
On May 1, Nessel demanded the levels be raised and further lowering of water levels prohibitied. The dam failed as spillways were unable to deal with the high water levels... that was 18 days after Dana made her demands.
The water is mixed with sewage and contaminants from Dow Chemical's "holding ponds" that contain cancer causing toxins from years ago. The people of Midland had their basements flood when sewage systems reversed, flooding basements with water and human waste.

My brother works in the ICU at a hospital in Detroit taking care of covid patients. He can’t get the drug, despite being heavily exposed. The fellow he works with got sent home with a fever and cough... he can’t get the drug either... even if he tested positive he couldn’t get the drug. Apparently you can only be prescribed the drug of you’re admitted to the hospital and you test positive! And guess what... he has patients that test negative 3-4 times before they finally test positive! The tests suck. Getting this drug to patients early in the illness, before their lungs fail, is how you save lives. The Governor has made this impossible.
