I wrote my representative writing about my experience as an election inspector in our state, and urging him through the oath I took in such role (to uphold the US constitution and other shit) to take part in the suit. I brought up directly how our SoS affected our district’s election integrity, and how they undercut previous safety measures without legislature’s approval that directly made our process open to fraud, amongst other things.

Texas isn’t arguing about fraud, they’re arguing that four states went against the constitution.
Texas isn’t trying to get the court to place Donald Trump into the seat of president for four more years, they’re trying to get the court to follow the constitutionally laid out proceedings for this scenario.

So this is just a conspiracy theory on my part, but I think this is the AG doing his best to help Texas without going directly against his governor. The arguments made in support of Texas are very strong, meanwhile their attacks on the requested relief (at least to me) seemingly fall flat, and more so would lend some support to the argument Texas is making.
I’m probably just looking too much into this, but from my uneducated standpoint I think this helps the Texas lawsuit a great deal.
That’s not true at all, they actively call on SCOTUS to make a quick ruling on this, not to leave it alone.
Ohio isn’t supporting either, and they actually argue against both sides. They do support Texas’s argument, but they disagree with the relief. They say that the federal courts can’t tell state legislatures how to appoint their electors, which is true.
What Ohio fails to realize (or is ignoring) is that the courts wouldn’t be dictating how they appoint their electors, they’d actually be doing quite the opposite. Texas’s relief, if granted, would see the federal courts undue the damage done by the lower courts which took away the legislatures constitutional authority, whilst placing the power to appoint electors directly in the hands of the legislators like is directed in the constitution.
