What would you have the people of Georgia do that they did not? Every peaceful means of protest was attempted, including legal avenues, appeals for a true audit and recount, contacting the state legislature. Was it a wake up call that the entire system is corrupted, including and state election officials, judges unwilling to hear cases at all. It's quite a thing going from Fulton county is corrupt to the whole state is corrupt and there is no recourse.

It's been this way for a long time. In the 70's the public school teachers inCalifornia were telling kids to ask their parents to vote no on prop 13. The cops and public transit had stickers all over their cars/buses saying 'no on 13'. Also they were teaching kids that we were all going to run out of water. good times...
Same reason good cops don't root out the bad cops. nobody knows how high the corruption goes and nobody wants to stand out for fear of losing job. That's also why whistleblower laws typically don't work. there is plenty of retaliation even if the complaint was innocent and correct.

"Officer" means any person elected or appointed to hold any elective or appointive office of any public body and any chief administrative officer, head, director, superintendent or chairman of any public body.

B. Each public body shall be responsible for the preservation, maintenance and care of that body's public records, and each officer shall be responsible for the preservation, maintenance and care of that officer's public records. It shall be the duty of each such body to carefully secure, protect and preserve public records from deterioration, mutilation, loss or destruction, unless disposed of pursuant to sections 41-151.15 and 41-151.19.

I don't think this is about rights, rather it's an assertion that these ballots, which are records, should be available to the public. I am not sure if ballots without identifying voter information are specifically designated as a part public record or if they are specifically designated as not to be part of public records. I think in cases where there is compelling public interest, the ballots should be public record and available for inspection. IANAL.

Abrams filed lawsuits to remove voter ID, residency requirements, and change Georgia law regarding special and run-off elections. These same lawsuits have been filed in other 'red' states, like Louisiana, Alabama, etc.

To be fair I voted and I never had a good response to those who said the election officials will just cheat again and it didn't matter how many R's voted, other than it may make it harder for them to steal it.
